Paleo diet: 3 foods that are a complete NO-NO - Times of India

Hi, here in this blog i would like to take you to the world of paleolithic dietary plan, that is making noises in modern dieting world, A basic brief in a professional way.

The Paleo (Paleolithic diet) is a lifestyle based on having food habits as our ancestral humans does, it resembles the eating habits of our ancestral human who were hunters and gatherers, having no modern medicine they used to avoid getting ill in such way.

To make it more easy for you to understand, paleolithic diet is having whole foods that were found in nature, and simply a big NO to having processed foods in your diet, as we all know that nowadays the processed food is full of additives, preservatives and some other main chemicals. having said that it feels little guilty when you criticize the food that you are having in your regular diet,

Well, so when i said whole foods, what comes in your mind ? i hope you have said a few. that's good, so these food actually comes from the land, trees and may be from your backyard garden in the house, yes, it includes food like MEAT, VEGETABLES, FRUITS, NUTS and SEEDS basically, these are the food that has high level protein and natural fat and low in carbohydrates.

when we say that PALEO is a kind of diet that our ancestors used to have, it obviously sounds pretty difficult for you to understand saying  " how we could eat food like our ancestors does"  well, you does not really need to go for hunting for that, its always available around us, but needed to be smart while you are in shopping for groceries you will find everything that a paleolithic diet needed.

Another important thing in paleo diet is to know that what are the things to be avoided if you are following paleo diet, her comes the basic list,
PROCESSED
REFINED
GRAINS
DAIRY
SOY
LEGUMES
INDUSTRIAL SEED OILS
SUGARS &
ADDITIVES
So, what you can have THE REAL WHOLESOME FOOD. yes, the kind food that goes in paleo diet is such nutritious and healthy, and people fell in love for paleo diet with this awestruck healthy benefits of its food.

While taking you into the world of paleo, here i want to tell you something, personally i am fully into paleolithic diet when i started working for my current hotel (https://theretreatpalmdubai.com/), a beautiful hotel with the concept of holistic well being and healthy lifestyle, this came as a challenge and surprise to associate with such unique lifestyle, yes i would call it a lifestyle other than a dietary plan, its always challenging to find the proper ingredients to cook for my guests, especially cakes, being in the culinary world for more than 6 years worked out in choosing best and alternate paleolithic ingredients, got a lot of information from internet, books and paleo food blogs, after all these what i found is my personal interest towards paleo diet, Being myself  on regular and normal diet, it always tend to be interesting cooking such challenging ingredients and for those committed paleolithic souls, Meantime when i have been going through all these internet articles, books and food blogs, i found out it could be more creative and attention seeking dietary plan, what needed is to give more of professional touch to this paleo world.
and let it be wider and bigger community.

taking you back to the basics, here is the main information of the whole some foods of paleolithic diet,

  • MEAT, SEAFOOD AND EGGS:
The Paleo Diet — A Beginner's Guide + Meal Plan

It is ideal to have meat and seafood from grass fed, organic fed, wild caught or from other limited sustainable sources, they is a tricky point here, as paleo diet suggests you to avoid grains, choose meat or fish that are grown eating their natural foods other than grains, like us animals also cant digest grains properly, tricky but interesting.
  • VEGETABLES AND FRUITS:
The Complete Paleo Diet Food List: What to Eat and What to Avoid ...

There is practically no limit on choosing from vegetables and fruits, you have plenty of choices season to season, different vegetables and fruits choose as per your availability and your wish, add varieties and keep changing your vegetables and fruits rotation,

  • NUTS AND SEEDS:

These food are absolutely rich in nutrients, perfect for snacking and  use for your baked good as we don't use any of grains it could be perfect replacement for them such as almond meal, coconut powder and flax seed meal, and if you are following this diet to loss your weight, your nuts consumption has to be kept in check.

  • FATS AND OILS:
Healthy Paleo Fats | Paleo Leap

personally for me the toughest ingredient to choose is to find perfect oil for your paleolithic cooking, its essential to improve your health condition, this should be mainly naturally occurred and less processed such as coconut oil, olive oil, natural animal fat, avocado oil, macadamia oil.(remember dairy is not used in paleo so is butter).

  • BEVERAGES:
Paleo Green Smoothie (Vegan, Detox, Kid Friendly) | I Heart Umami®

Water can be the best option we could say but, less processed or natural herbal teas will work well too, could also suggest coffee but caffeine levels is absolutely unhealthy as it releases some hormone cortisol.

So, these are the foods that classified into paleolithic dietary zone to have, in my next blog i will give a brief about the foods that have to be avoided, here i say good bye and thank you for visiting this blog, hope it is helpful to you. keep visiting and share to your paleolithic friends.
